Summit Cybertech 2025: cybersecurity is also fought over the air

At the event organized by El Mercurio, Tank proposed extending cybersecurity to wireless networks, a front that is neglected even in critical infrastructure.

On May 13 and 14, the Summit Cybertech & Technology South America took place, organized by the Chilean newspaper El Mercurio. Leaders from business, government, mining and technology discussed the challenges of cybersecurity in the new digital landscape.

The main topics included the implementation of Chile’s new Cybersecurity Framework Law, the urgency of having a functional, coordinated national agency, timely notification of critical incidents and the need to extend digital security beyond traditional cyberspace.

In that context, Cristian Tacchi, founder and CEO of Tank, gave a talk on the importance of extending cybersecurity to wireless networks, an area that is often neglected and vulnerable, even in critical infrastructure. Tacchi showed how Tank detects jamming attacks and guides the response in large-scale environments, and his presentation drew interest from cybersecurity and mining companies, embassies and lawmakers.

His participation put on the table the urgency of moving forward with legislation that takes radio frequency attacks into account, and of making visible vulnerabilities that to this day remain invisible, but active.
