Tank presents the Smart Vitacura experience to the Network of Municipal HUBs

Before 21 municipalities, Tank shared the results of the CarDefense pilot in Vitacura and how municipal coordination made it possible to take it into the field in a short time.

Tank was invited to present the results of its CarDefense deployment to the Chilean Network of Municipal HUBs, a forum that brings together 21 municipalities and seeks to share good practices in public innovation with local impact.

The presentation took place on Friday, October 17, at the Providencia Hub, and was organized by the Vitacura Innovation HUB as part of its commitment to scaling successful solutions to other municipalities in the country.

Tank was one of the winning startups of the Smart Vitacura 2025 program, which made it possible to test its defense against vehicle theft with signal jammers in a real environment and in direct coordination with municipal teams.

During the event, Cristian Tacchi, founder and CEO of Tank, shared the results of the pilot: detection of attacks as they happen, automatic activation of municipal protocols and the system’s ability to integrate with existing technology infrastructure.

Tacchi also highlighted the role of the Vitacura Innovation HUB, which brought together the municipal departments of Traffic, Observability, Security and Infrastructure for an agile, collaborative deployment. “Thanks to that coordination, we went from idea to impact in the field in a very short time,” he said.

Besides validating a solution created in Chile, the Smart Vitacura experience opens a path for other municipalities to tackle the growing problem of gangs that use signal jammers, an invisible threat that already affects vehicles and critical infrastructure in different regions of the country.
