Tank and 42X, winners of the Smart Vitacura 2025 Challenge

At the Demo Day organized by the HUB of the Municipality of Vitacura, a district of Santiago, and Fundación Chile, the startups Tank and 42X were chosen as the winners of the Smart Vitacura 2025 open innovation challenge. Each will receive funding to run pilots in the district.

Tank, led by Cristian Tacchi, won in the public safety category with its system for detecting and responding to signal jammer attacks. The system brings together sensors, protocols, training and data analysis: it locates the source of the attack and coordinates the security team’s response as it happens.

42X, meanwhile, won in the senior citizens category for its artificial intelligence assistant that chats with older adults over WhatsApp and gives them useful information, reminders and personalized alerts.

Both initiatives are a concrete step toward a safer, more connected and more inclusive district.
